Indra strengthens senior leadership team with Adrian Moores as chief executive officer

31 August 2022, Malvern UK

Indra, a leading British EV and smart energy technology business, has appointed Adrian (Ady) Moores as its chief executive officer (CEO). With a proven track record in building and scaling fast-growing technology companies, Moores is responsible for executing the company’s ambitious growth strategy in the UK and Europe.

The appointment follows Indra’s recent announcements of exclusive partnerships with several leading UK brandsto supply their customers with its high-performance Smart PRO charger and offer a seamless home installation service. Coupled with Indra’s launch of the world’s largest trial of Vehicle-to-Home bidirectional charging technology and the rapid expansion in EV adoption, it’s no surprise that Moores believes Indra is well placed to strengthen its position as a leading player in the smart home EV charging and energy technology space in the UK and beyond.

Commenting on his appointment, Moores says: “I’m delighted to be joining Indra at this hugely exciting time. With its proven pioneering technology, backed up by a highly skilled and engaged team with genuine customer focus, I believe Indra is perfectly positioned to convert its vision of a sustainable energy ecosystem into a tangible reality.

“The technology may be highly advanced,” he continued, “but the principle of facilitating access to cheaper, greener and smarter energy that benefits both EV drivers and the wider grid, is one that is easy to understand and get on board with.”

Moores started his career as a qualified chartered accountant at KPMG, before moving into the high-growth technology sector. Prior to joining Indra, Moores was group CEO at P2i, where he oversaw the company’s rapid growth from start-up to substantive, profitable business. He also specialises in working with businesses that have a focus on sustainability and creating a positive, real-world impact.

John O’Donohue, chair of the board at Indra, comments: “We’re thrilled that Ady has joined us to lead a strong management team harnessing real technology innovation leadership and scaling in the UK and Europe. His deep operational expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow our customer base and operations at pace in the coming months and years.”
