Indra shortlisted for 2025 GREENFLEET Industry Innovation Award

Indra is celebrating its shortlisting for the Industry Innovation Award at the 2025 GREENFLEET Awards, one of the UK fleet sector’s most prestigious events.

The GREENFLEET Awards recognise organisations and technologies that are accelerating the transition to cleaner, lower-emission transport. The winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony in Coventry on December 4th.

For Indra, the shortlisting highlights the rapid progress the company is making in tackling one of the biggest challenges for commercial fleets transitioning to electric vehicles: enabling drivers to charge reliably and cost-effectively at home while giving employers simple, accurate tools for monitoring, reimbursement, and reporting.

Why Indra has been shortlisted

Indra has been nominated for the technological innovations behind its fleet-at-home charging solution—a turnkey system designed to simplify home charging for company vehicles while providing fleet teams full visibility and control over costs, energy use, and compliance.

Recognising innovation that drives impact

This shortlisting reflects more than just a product launch. It recognises:

  • Making fleet electrification genuinely easier
  • Embedding financial sustainability into EV operations
  • Delivering lower carbon charging now, not in several years
  • Designing technology for both drivers and fleet managers

It also acknowledges the combined efforts of Indra’s software, hardware, customer success, and account management teams, working together to create a seamless, end-to-end charging experience.

Introducing Indraverse: powering Fleet-at-Home and more

At the heart of Indra’s solution is Indraverse, the company’s comprehensive, in-house built technology platform. Developed with multi-million-pound investment and designed to meet enhanced cybersecurity standards, Indraverse powers a range of Indra solutions, including Fleet-at-Home.

Key components of Indraverse include:

  • Dynamo, the secure server infrastructure, stores and manages all charging data
  • The Indra consumer app and Indra installer app, which streamline installation, usage, and monitoring
  • Integrations with popular energy tariffs such as Octopus Intelligent Go and OVO Charge Anytime, enabling automatic, tariff-based home charging reimbursements

Indraverse connects hardware, software, and energy networks, ensuring every kilowatt is logged, every tariff is applied, and reimbursements are accurate. It delivers transparency, efficiency, and control across the full range of Indra services.

A great charger and app

Indra’s durable, solar-ready chargers and intuitive app provide drivers with a seamless home-charging experience. Smart charging and access to lower-cost energy tariffs reduce reliance on public charging and can deliver savings of thousands of pounds per vehicle.

Fully managed charger installation

Indra offers a fully managed, nationwide installation service delivered by accredited and qualified installers. Fleet teams can:

  • Collect driver information via bespoke online forms
  • Approve drivers for installation
  • Trigger an online home survey conveniently via SMS

Indra coordinates all the logistics, including permissions from employees and DNOs, electrical sign-offs, and certification, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish.

Fleet manager portal and real-time tracking

Fleet managers gain full visibility and control:

  • Track every installation in real time
  • Approve or adjust additional costs
  • Allocate extra costs to drivers if required

Painless expense reimbursement

Indra’s home charging solution, powered by Indraverse, links directly to each driver’s charger and energy tariff. Every kilowatt is logged and every tariff applied, so repayments are precise, automatic, and fair.

The system works with the reimbursement platforms fleet managers already use—including Allstar, Paua, Rightcharge, and TMC—removing admin headaches and disputes while keeping drivers’ out-of-pocket expenses at zero. Fleet managers can trust that reimbursements are compliant, efficient, and accurate, while energy use aligns with sustainability goals.

Looking ahead

Indra’s fleet-at-home proposition is already supporting fleets across the UK and will play a central role in the launch of the next-generation bi-directional AC charger in 2026, enabling EVs to support the grid as well as draw from it. Future-ready and built in the UK, this technology represents the direction of fleet decarbonisation: smart, integrated, and intelligently connected to the energy system.

Reflecting on the shortlisting, Indra's Chief Commercial Officer, Simon Tate, says;

"Being shortlisted for the Industry Innovation Award is a fantastic moment of validation for our team. Our Fleet-at-Home proposition is designed to remove friction from fleet electrification and make charging smarter, simpler, and sustainable for drivers and fleet managers. We’re proud to be recognised among the organisations leading this transition.

Whether we secure the award or not, being shortlisted amongst so many other strong innovators is an accolade we’re proud of. For us, the real win is seeing the impact of our Fleet-at-Home services reducing emissions and cutting operating costs for fleet clients already."
