Indra's almost decade-long commitment to innovation has once again been recognised as it scooped the Best Charging Equipment or Service Innovation category at the E-Mobility Awards 2025.
Held at the British Motor Museum on 8th July 2025, the black-tie awards ceremony brought together the brightest minds and most innovative organisations in electric mobility, celebrating achievements across vehicle design, infrastructure, energy systems and supporting services.
Indra’s award highlights the company’s standout contributions to shaping a smarter, more sustainable future for home EV charging. The judging panel praised three key areas of innovation:
The world’s largest vehicle-to-home (V2H) trial, which saw over 200 UK households use Indra’s bidirectional charging technology to significantly reduce peak energy demand, saving over 100 MWh and enabling some participants to achieve negative energy bills.
A seamless expenses payment integration with Allstar, simplifying home EV charging for fleet drivers by automating expense tracking and reducing administrative overhead for businesses.
Indra’s advanced smart charger range, which continues to push the boundaries of intelligent energy use at home - balancing cost, convenience, and carbon reduction for customers.
Simon Tate, Chief Commercial Officer at Indra, who attended the ceremony along with Head of Software Products Matt Noonan, said:
“This is a great moment for Indra, and a real testament to the hard work, collaboration, and innovation across the entire team. Congratulations to everyone involved - from engineers and developers to our commercial and customer support teams, everyone plays a part in making our products exceptional. We’re proud to be helping shape the future of energy.”
The E-Mobility Awards, which celebrate ingenuity and achievement across every sector of the electric transport ecosystem, attracted entries from across the UK and beyond. To win in such a competitive category is a major milestone for Indra and a testament to its relentless focus on user-first innovation. Sharing the spotlight with other industry leaders such as Allstar, Octopus Energy, ChargedEV and ChargeGuru, Indra stands proudly among a powerful cohort of pioneering brands shaping the future of electric mobility.
Indra’s success at the E-Mobility Awards builds on a strong history of industry recognition. Last year, the company received the coveted Special Recognition award at the EVIEs for its pioneering work in bidirectional EV charging. The year before, Indra was named Domestic Chargepoint Manufacturer of the Year at the same event, underscoring its continued leadership in home charging innovation.
As the industry continues to evolve, Indra remains committed to delivering smart, scalable and sustainable charging solutions that empower users and accelerate the energy transition.
