We’ve just received the exciting news that we’ve been shortlisted in three categories for this year’s EVIEs Awards.
Frequently described as the Oscars of the EV world, the EVIEs celebrate the very best innovation, design, infrastructure and customer experience across the rapidly growing electric vehicle landscape.
To be recognised amongst such an impressive line-up of companies and products is a huge honour for our team, and we’re thrilled to see our hard work in smart charging and innovation attracting this level of notice and recognition.
The first category we’ve been shortlisted for is ‘Most User-Friendly Charging Experience (Hardware)’.
This category is to acknowledge charging hardware that stands out for its simplicity, accessibility and ease of use; the things that matter the most to EV drivers in their everyday lives. At Indra, this philosophy is built into every detail of our charger design and the supporting app.
From the intuitive physical Boost button for instant charging, to the integrated LED lighting that communicates charging status at a glance, we’ve engineered hardware that removes complexity and makes the experience effortless. Able to manage charging times, lock the charger and receive data, the app is outstanding in offering complete control to our customers.
Our chargers support over 1,000 UK electricity tariffs, including leading smart EV tariffs like Octopus Intelligent Go and OVO Charge Anytime, so customers can automatically benefit from cost-efficient, lower-carbon charging without needing to manually adjust settings.
By combining these thoughtful design touches with a fully integrated app and a wraparound installation and support service, Indra transforms the home charging journey into something reliable, intelligent, and stress-free.
We’re proud that our user-first approach to delivering a reliable, intelligent and intuitive charging experience is being noticed by the EVIEs judges, although we’re up against five other strong contenders.
Our second shortlisted slot is in the ‘Best New Product’ category, where our innovative Fleet-at-Home solution has been recognised.
Launched in October 2024, Fleet-at-Home is already transforming how organisations electrify, with several corporate fleet customers already benefitting.
Designed to solve one of the biggest challenges for commercial fleets transitioning to EVs, our solution enables drivers can reliably and cost-effectively charge their vehicles overnight at home while employers can manage reimbursement, monitoring and reporting with ease.
Instead of expensive and often underutilised depot charging, Fleet-at-Home enables drivers to charge overnight at home while employers gain full visibility of charging behaviour, costs, and carbon savings.
Through our partnership with Allstar, driver energy costs are reimbursed directly to their utility supplier—removing expense claims entirely—while integrations with Jumptech’s installation platform make scaling effortless.
This innovation doesn’t just simplify fleet charging—it unlocks major cost savings too, with potential reductions of up to £1 million annually for every 400 vehicles. We’re delighted to be included as one of the leading new solutions in this category, with seven other worthy products also shortlisted.
We also entered for a third category, ‘Best Home Charging Solution’, and are excited to be shortlisted with many of the UK’s leading manufacturers. This category celebrates the chargers that make life smarter, easier and more efficient for EV drivers at home, and with so much innovation in home charging, it’s an honour to be recognised among such a strong field.
What sets Indra apart is that we go far beyond hardware, delivering a fully integrated ecosystem that combines smart, durable UK-built chargers, a seamless installation journey, and our highly rated, user-focused Indra App.
At the core is our proprietary Indraverse platform, enabling remote diagnostics, over-the-air updates, and tariff optimisation. This ensures drivers can enjoy meaningful real-world savings of up to £875 annually, without needing technical know-how.
Our hardware is solar-ready as standard, future-proofed for sustainability, and available in two formats: the tethered Smart LUX for convenience, and the socketed Smart PRO for households needing flexibility.
Combined with a 4.5-star average app experience across the Apple and Google App stores, and responsive UK-based customer support, Indra transforms what could be a daunting purchase into a smooth, reliable, and confidence-building experience.
Awards aren’t ever the end goal; our main focus is on creating smarter, greener, user-friendly and ultimately cost-saving charging solutions that make the EV transition easier for all. That having been said, it’s still incredibly motivating to the whole team to see that effort recognised by the wider industry. Being shortlisted is a reflection not just of one department’s efforts, but the wider collaboration and focus that drives us as a company.
Simon Tate, Chief Commercial Officer, said in response to the news,
“We’re incredibly proud to be shortlisted across three categories at this year’s EVIEs. It reflects the dedication of our team and the strength of our vision to make EV charging more cost-effective, simpler, smarter and more sustainable for drivers and fleets alike. To be recognised alongside some of the industry’s leading innovators is an honour, and it motivates us to keep pushing the boundaries within the sector.”
The EVIEs ceremony will take place on Thursday, 2nd October, in London. Regardless of whether we bring home a trophy, we’re proud to be part of an event that showcases the best of the EV sector in the UK.
For us, the recognition is already a win-win!
